After Dark

After Dark is a project by Rob St John and Tommy Perman exploring the past, present and future of nightlife in Nelson, Lancashire.

Building on years of working with communities around the town, the pair are creating an interactive sound installation based on a repurposed 1970s jukebox which hosts stories, songs and oral histories from local people, from the 1950s until the present day.

After Dark is funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. It is a This Is Nelson project, a partnership between In-Situ, Building Bridges Pendle, Super Slow Way and Pendle Council.
